The Missouri State Public Defender System is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant with the Kirksville Trial office.
Individual reports to the District Defender and acts as office manager for the office.
Will manage front desk duties, including answering phones, greeting clients, and maintaining trial calendar.
Duties also include opening/closing case files; coordinating office service activities including tracking budget and expenditure information; processing invoices and directing communication with vendors; conducting inventory; and ordering supplies.
Additional responsibilities include providing clerical support to the District Defender and other staff attorneys, and other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: One year of professional office management experience, demonstrated by supervision of staff or highly responsible administrative duties; Or, five years progressively responsible clerical/office experience required.
Post secondary education may be substituted for minimum experience requirements.
Salary is $3,040 per month, plus generous State of Missouri benefits.
