I live at least 75 miles from most of the stations, and my computer/internet and other appliances interfere with the signals.
What stations I do get (in Murray and Lamoni) play loud and clear, and so should all the others, if you're in the Des Moines area.
I've used it beside my bed for a year or more, but I kept it on one station.
Didn't think the tape player was going to work, but after a little bit of fooling around, it came on and played well.
I'm going to play it some more to make sure, but I think it will work for you.
Electronics get a little sluggish if not used for awhile.
I can meet with a buyer in some convenient location for the sale, next time I'm in the Des Moines area.
